Common questions
How many gunas are needed for marriage?
Traditionally 18 or more out of 36. 25–31 is very good and 32 or more is excellent. Below 18, families usually consult an astrologer, who looks at the full charts and the cancellations.
What is Nadi dosh, and can it be cancelled?
When both have the same Nadi (Adi, Madhya or Antya), the Nadi koota gets 0 of 8. It is cancelled when the Moons share a sign but not a nakshatra, share a nakshatra but not a sign, or share both but not the pada. We check all three.
Is Manglik checked too?
Yes. We check both of you from the Lagna and the Moon with the cancellation rules, and say whether the two are balanced.
Why is the score different on another website?
Sites use slightly different tables for Vashya and Gana, and some ignore the dosh cancellations. A birth time near a nakshatra's edge can also change the Moon's star. We show every koota and both Moons, so you can see exactly where a difference comes from.

Guna milan is one traditional tool. Mutual understanding, values, health and family matter at least as much — never decide on gunas alone.
